TabIt is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome extension handles your data and what information we access during operation.

TabIt accesses the following information from your browser tabs:

  • Tab titles: Used for tab categorization
  • Tab URLs: Used for tab categorization
  • Tab group information: Used to manage and organize existing tab groups

TabIt stores the following data locally on your device:

  • User preferences: Your selected grouping mode (one-time, smart, aggressive)
  • Custom categories: Categories you create for tab organization
  • Custom prompts: Any additional instructions you provide for tab categorization
  • Tab range settings: Your preferred number of tabs per group
  • Tab categorization: Tab titles and URLs are processed locally using TF-IDF and Leiden clustering to automatically group related tabs
  • User experience: Preferences are stored locally to remember your settings between sessions
  • Extension functionality: Tab group information is used to create, modify, and manage tab groups in your browser
  • All processing is done locally in your browser
  • No data is transmitted to external servers or third parties
  • No cloud storage is used for any user data
  • Tab information is processed in real-time and not stored permanently
  • User preferences are stored locally until you uninstall the extension
  • You can clear all stored preferences by resetting the extension settings

TabIt does NOT:

  • Share any data with third-party services
  • Upload any information to external servers
  • Sell or monetize your data in any way
  • Use analytics or tracking services

You have the right to:

  • Access: View your stored preferences in the extension settings
  • Modify: Change or update your preferences at any time
  • Delete: Clear all stored data by resetting extension settings or uninstalling
  • Control: Choose which grouping modes and features to use
  • All data processing occurs locally on your device
  • No network connections are made for data processing
  • Extension permissions are limited to necessary browser tab and storage APIs

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. When we make changes:

  • The “Last Updated” date will be revised
  • Significant changes will be highlighted in extension updates
  • Continued use of the extension constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
